Caring for your silver
Hallmarked 925 sterling silver is made to last generations with a little care. Here is how to keep your Chandvi piece bright.
Everyday care
Silver naturally reacts with air and moisture over time. Wipe your piece gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove oils and moisture. Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, chlorine and household chemicals.
Cleaning
For a polished finish, use a dedicated silver polishing cloth. For detailed or oxidised pieces, wipe only the raised surfaces so the darkened detail in the recesses is preserved — that contrast is intentional.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box, away from humidity. Keeping air out slows tarnishing.
Oxidised finishes
Some of our pieces are hand-oxidised in the Jaipur manner so the detail reads dark and deep. This finish is meant to mellow gently with time; do not scrub it away.
